Details from Matthew Knowles filed papers
MORE KNOWLES KNEWS: Additional details have emerged in the legal battle shaping up between Mathew Knowles and Live Nation, after TMZ broke the news on Monday that Beyonce's father and former manager had filed papers stating that LN had made false claims about him to his daughter, most provocatively that he "stole or took money from her," in part in an effort to secure the rights to her 2011 world tour. The documents are available to the public, and the bible’s Ray Waddell saved us the trouble of having to going through them ourselves. Said docs confirm that Live Nation exec Faisel Duranni is heading up Beyonce's management company, Parkwood Entertainment; that LN has indeed locked up the tour, paying Beyonce $4 million; and that "representatives of Live Nation suggested to Beyonce or her representatives that [Mathew Knowles] had conspired with one Al Haymon to defraud Beyonce.” The papers state that law firm Reed Smith did an audit on behalf of Beyonce last October, and allege that, based on false statements to the firm from LN reps, told Beyonce that that her dad had ripped her off, in essence defrauding Beyonce.
