Jim Urie Denies Rumor

DMN GOES OH FER TWO: Reacting to a Digital Music News story this morning he called “inaccurate and untruthful,” UMGD’s Jim Urie has denied he’s going to Sony Music. In a memo to his staff this morning, Urie states: “UMG is my home. I am excited and blessed every day to get up and work with all of you. I am energized by our management and I continue to be amazed the quality of music our labels give us... Let’s stay focused and continue to deliver these great results.” This is the second time within the past month DMN has inaccurately reported that Urie would be leaving his current post. (7/22p)
