SACKHEIM RISES: Look for veteran promo exec Rick Sackheim, he of the fancy shoes, to be promoted to EVP Promotion for Island Def Jam by label President Steve Bartels. Sackheim had headed the label’s Rhythm promotion, and will now expand those duties. He has been at IDJ for the past half-dozen years, and before that, had a VP Crossover stint at Jive and in the promo department at Arista. (7/27p)
