DeLuna Fest in Pensacola
SMACK MY BEACH UP: Linkin Park has just been confirmed as the third-night headliner at DeLuna Fest, which will take place right on the Gulf of Mexico in Pensacola Beach, FL, Oct. 14-16. More accurately, the band has just confirmed itself—see above. Among the acts scheduled to appear are Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, The Shins, The Airborne Toxic Event, Cut Copy, Cake, Stars, AWOLNATION, Matt & Kim, Big Boi, Cold War Kids, Ra Ra Riot, Manchester Orchestra, The Constellations, New Pornographers, The Sounds, Girl Talk, DJ Diplo and GIVERS. Additionally, Bettye LaVette, Wanda Jackson, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Kermit Ruffins & the Barbecue Swingers and others will perform in the Heritage Jazz & Blues tent. In all, around 80 acts will appear at the fest; full lineup here. Organizers expect a turnout of 50k for what’s billed as America’s Original Beach Party, with all in tickets priced at $149. (8/17a)
