Giberga to Razor & Tie

ACT TWO: Another former major label mainstay has found new life in indie world, as Pete Giberga is named VP A&R for Razor & Tie. From 2001 to 2009, Giberga held the same position at Epic, where he signed and/or worked with Sara Bareilles, Augustana, Chevelle, Good Charlotte and Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as playing a key role in the creation of the soundtrack to Garden State. The announcement was made by Razor & Tie co-owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam, who said (presumably in unison), “Pete’s arrival at Razor & Tie demonstrates our commitment to build our label’s diverse roster at a time of great opportunity. We are very bullish about the future and think that Pete’s energy, creativity and smarts will help take Razor & Tie to great heights.” Giberga will also continue to oversee talent for Career Artist Management.
