EMMY RESULTS: Modern Family and Downtown Abbey were the big winners at last night’s Emmys, taking home Best Comedy Series and Best Mini-Series or TV Movie, respectively. Mad Men was named Best Dramatic Series for the fourth consecutie year, while Kyle Chandler won Best Actor in a Drama Series for Friday Night Lights in the night's big upset, with Julianna Margulies nabbing Best Actress in The Good Wife. Comedy honors went to Melissa McCarthy for Mike and Molly and The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons. The KennedysBarry Pepper (who played Robert F. Kennedy) and Mildred Pierce’s Kate Winslet earned honors as Best Actor and Actress in a Mini-Series. The Fox telecast, hosted by Glee's Jane Lynch, was the most entertaining in recent memory, with several standout bits, including her opening "Tribute to TV" production number.
