Radiohead to tour in 2012

GOING OUT ON A LIMB: Last week, I.B. Bad broke the news that Radiohead would be headlining Coachella next year (along with No Doubt). Last night, while co-hosting Gilles Peterson's BBC Radio 1 show, Thom Yorke revealed that the Coachella appearance wouldn’t be an isolated one. "The idea is to go out and play next year on and off during the year," he said, adding that human metronome Clive Deamer, who joined the band for its recent Live From the Basement work-up of The King of Limbs, might perform the same duties on the tour. As we reported earlier this week, Radiohead will play N.Y.’s Roseland Ballroom Sept. 28-29 while they’re in town for appearances on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live (9/24) and the Colbert Report (9/26). Yorke also mentioned that Atoms for Peace, his hyper-rhythmic side project with Flea and producer Nigel Godrich, is close to completing an album, though he was unsure when it would come out. (9/21a)
