X FACTOR’S STEADY STATE: Simon Cowell's X Factor ratings held up in its second night, with a 4.1 18-49, and an 8.3 household rating from 8-10 p.m., down less than 5% from the night before, when it pulled in 12.5 million viewers, averaging a 4.4 18-49 and 8.8 overall. And while Fox topped the night in adults 18-49, X Factor was bested by CBS' The Big Bang Theory at 8 p.m. (9.6 household rating versus 7.4) and 8:30 p.m. (9.6 versus 8.8) and by CBS' Person of Interest from 9-9:30 p.m. (8.7 versus 8.2). But X Factor crept up in its final half-hour, closing with an 8.8 household rating. (9/23p)
