DAVID (DAVY) PERRY KIRKWOOD, 63, an audio engineer and sound mixer who worked for Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones, Supertramp, Stevie Wonder, ELO, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Dio, Men at Work, Air Supply, Leo Sayer, Warrant, Cinderella, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Joss Stone and Rihanna, among others, passed away last week from a heart attack. The Glasgow, Scotland-born sound mixer was a telephone engineer before starting a music career as the singer in a band called The Beings. Said Warrant’s Joey Allen: “For the past 20+ years, I have had the sincere pleasure of having Davy as a dear friend. His wit, kind demeanor, life knowledge and ability to mix any type of music was equal to no one. He will be greatly missed.” Services for Davy are being held Wednesday (10/12),. 1:30 p.m., at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church (5700 Rudnick Ave., Woodland Hills, C 91367). (10/10p)
