JOBS’ MIDAS TOUCH LIVES ON: Simon & Schuster wouldn’t release official opening-day numbers for Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs, which went on sale yesterday, but brick-and-mortar stores reported robust demand, as did online sellers, the N.Y. Post reports. “Steve Jobs is currently our #1 best seller on both the Books and Kindle Best Seller lists,” Amazon said in a statement yesterday. “The way things are trending, it could very likely be one of our top-selling books of the year.” Most online stores are selling the e-book for $16.99 and the hardcover for $17.88.
