GOOGLE JOINS THE PARTY: Among the wrinkles of the new Google Music download and storage service revealed At the Google Music launch party last night in L.A., company execs ballyhooed a number of new features: The service will offer exclusives, including six previously unreleased Rolling Stones concerts; indie acts will be able to create their own pages for $25, where they can sell music at prices they set, keeping 70% of the sale price; and, through an integration Google+, the service will let customers share music by offering friends one free listen to any purchased track. Additionally, the Music Beta online locker will remain free of charge, but it won’t have a "scan and match" feature, meaning users will have to manually upload their collections. Downloads are expected to be comparably priced to iTunes and Amazon MP3. And T-Mobile customers will be able to pay for music on their monthly bills. Google has licensing deals in place with UMG, Sony Music and EMI but yet to close Warner Music More in the Wall Street Journal. (11/17a)
