CHASING PLAQUE-MENTS: The great Adele might not be able to speak nor sing, but that didn’t stop her from being presented with a plaque marking the sale of 5 million albums and 11 million singles in the U.S. from her six-time Grammy-nominated XL/Columbia Records album 21. On hand to celebrate—and keep her from talking—are (l-r) Sony Music CEO Doug Morris, Columbia COO Steve Barnett, Adele, Columbia CEO Rob Stringer and manager Jonathan Dickins, who proceed to pump her full of Robitussin and pray she'll recover from her recent vocal cord surgery.
