Coldplay Ticket Sales Heat Up
COLDPLAY’S HOT PLAY: Pre-sales for Live Nation’s Coldplay North American arena tour are through the roof, with sell-outs everywhere. It gets underway in Edmonton April 17, with a pair of dates scheduled for Hollywood Bowl on May 1 and 2, ending in St. Paul, MN, on August 8. The band’s European jaunt, which includes a number of stadiums, is also a hot ticket, beginning Dec. 14 in Paris and running through the end of the year in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Eve, bringing a smile to the faces of manager Dave Holmes and Live Nation’s Arthur Fogel. The tour is in support of Chris Martin and company’s Capitol Records release, Xylo Myloto. (12/13p)
