One-Day Sales

A PEEK AT THE WEEK: Based on one-day sales from our network of music retailers around the country, look for Reprise crooner Michael Buble to continue at #1 next week, while Adele will surge back to #2. The week’s biggest new release will be RCA R&B singer Anthony Hamilton’s Back to Love, which is on target for 55-60k. Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa’s new Warner Bros effort, Mac and Devin Go to High School, is slated for between 35-40k. A new Metallica EP, Beyond Magnetic, a digital release on WB marking the band’s 30th anniversary, featuring four previously unreleased songs from the Death Magnetic sessions, is looking at around 28-32k. Album sales were up 21% vs. last week, down 4% vs. same week last year and up 2% year to date. Track Sales were up 5% vs. last week, up 6% vs. same week last year and up 9% year to date. TEA (Track Equivalent Album) sales were up 18% vs. last week, down 3% vs. same week last year and up 4% year to date. You may now return to checking your list to see who was naughty and nice.
