X MARKS THE SPOT: Last night's X Factor Semi-Finals results show on Fox took 55 minutes, but in the end, there were three survivors, one apiece for mentors Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger. Song and dance man Marcus Canty was the victim, leaving British Virgin Island belter Melanie Amaro, rehabbed blue-eyed hip-hop singer Chris Rene and heartland burrito baritone Josh Krajcik the remaining three contestants for the $5 million prize, which will be awarded next Thursday (12/22). Most pundit bloggers seem to think Amaro's big voice and Leona Lewis-style diva makeover is the favorite, but at this point, both Rene and Krajcik have their supporters, too. Last night's show featured performances by Florence + the Machine and Scherzinger herself.(12/16p)
