X Factor finalists going to market

X-TREME RUSH: L.A. Reid and Epic aren’t wasting any time taking advantage of the momentum generated by X Factor finalist Chris Rene’s “Young Homie,” the original he performed on Wednesday’s final night of competition, which has registered more than 10 million hits on YouTube. The label will rush the song to market in January. Winner Melanie Amaro will probably be placed on Syco/Columbia, according to Sony insiders, who speculate that Josh Krajcik will probably wind up on Syco as well. Reid is also rumored to be making records with Astro and Marcus Canty, both of whom he’d mentored on the show. (12/26a)
