Fogerty wrote theme of new Fox series

BORN ON THE BACK LOT: John Fogerty
has written the theme song for the new Fox series The Finder, and he’ll make his acting debut in the premiere episode Thursday night at 9. Fogerty also recorded a stripped-down version of his Creedence classic “Fortunate Son” for the show, and it’ll be available as a free download at http://johnfogerty.com for a week beginning immediately after the episode airs. The pairing happened because the show’s creator, Hart Hanson (Bones) is a fully geeked-out fan, who claims that “my production company would have been called ‘Fortunate Son Productions,’ but somebody beat me to it… John Fogerty is a rock & roll god, an American legend, a true originator and one of the best songwriters of all time. When he sang and played on The Finder set, we all stood in awed silence and grinned at each other. If just the smallest skritch of John’s magic rubs off on us, then we’ll be forever grateful.” Yup, he said “skritch.” (1/11a)
