Macca gets star

THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD TO VINE STREET: Paul McCartney became the fourth member of the Fab Four to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday afternoon right outside the Capitol Tower, where the stars of The Beatles and his three bandmates are fittingly located. “In Liverpool, when we were kids and listening to Buddy Holly and all the other rock and roll greats, I would have never thought the day would come when I’d be getting a star on the Walk of Fame,” Macca said during the ceremony. “I thought it was an impossible thing to happen. But here we are today. I couldn’t have done it without a certain three boys, so I want to say thanks to those guys, John, George and Ringo.” He then stepped into Capitol Studios on the ground floor of the tower for an iTunes performance, now streaming at the store.
