Adele Continues Selling
ADELEMANIA: Never mind Linsanity, the record biz is basking in its own superstar in XL/ Columbia’s Adele, whose 21 album will spend its 21st week at #1 today with more than 700k in post-Grammy sales, sending it over 7 million, while our retail seers have already dubbed it the best-selling album of 2012. In addition, her first album, 19, is now #4, with another 85-90k in sales. Meanwhile, Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hits lands at #2 with 150-175k after last weekend’s funeral in Newark (see Clive Davis’ eulogy here), giving Sony three of the Top 4. (2/21a)
