Norah Jones' New Album

MORAH NORAH: Norah Jones will release her new, Danger Mouse-produced album, Little Broken Hearts, on Blue Note/EMI, May 1. Jones drew inspiration for the album cover from the vintage movie posters that adorn the producer’s L.A. studio, including one by noted exploitation director Russ Meyer for Mudhoney. Explained Jones: “I always was looking at it and thinking ‘That’s so cool I want to look like her!’ I remember staring at the poster the whole time we made the record. It’s a great visual." Jones will tour extensively this year, debuting songs from the album with her new band at SXSW in Austin at La Zona Rosa (3/17). She’ll also be performing two sets with The Little Willies at Waterloo Records and Antones on 3/15. For more information see www.norahjones.com. (2/21a)
