PUB CRAWLING: Dexys, the legendary U.K. northern soul band previously known as Dexy’s Midnight Runners, will release their first new album since 1985, One Day I’m Going to Soar, through BMG Rights Management’s Masters U.K. record release program. The Kevin Rowland-fronted band’s new effort will come out in England on June 4, preceded by four live shows, including Glasgow (5/6) and London (5/8). Absolute Marketing and Distribution will handle the album. No word yet on whether Nick Gatfield will participate in the reunion… In other pub news, EMI Music Publishing has inked The X Factor U.K. runner-up Rebecca Ferguson to a global agreement. Ferguson’s debut album Heaven entered the U.K. chart at #3 last December and has now been certified platinum with sales in excess of 400,000 following an impressive first week tally of 128,000.
