SXSW BUZZ BAND: Leeds, UK, rockers The Chevin, who came to the attention of The Airborne Toxic Event manager Pete Galli after opening for the band on their British tour, have been turning heads down in Austin with their spirited, arena-ready combo of U2, The Killers and Keene. The band plays tonight at the “British Embassy Show” at Latitude 30 after attracting the interest of music supervisors and assorted tastemakers with their previous performance. Their debut EP, Champion, is out on Fierce Panda Records, featuring the single, “Champion,” a video of which you can see below. Thanks to HITS paparazza Nancy Goldwin for the shot. (3/15p)
