Page Six: LMFAO fighting over money

PAGE SIX ITEM OF THE DAY: This morning, the always-accurate gossip column claims that LMFAO’s Redfoo and Sky Blu (the son and grandson of Motown founder Berry Gordy) are feuding over the millions they’ve made from smashes including “Party Rock Anthem,” “Shots” and “Sexy and I Know It.” Since their appearance with Madonna at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, Redfoo (aka Stefan Kendal Gordy) and his nephew Sky Blu (aka Skyler Austen Gordy) have rarely taken the stage together, and sources say a growing rift between the two has developed. “Redfoo has always been promoting himself, doing his own thing,” a source said—resulting in his getting more $100k-a-night DJ gigs than Sky Blu. He has a regular residency called “Party Rock” at Vegas club Marquee, and sources say Redfoo’s use of the band’s “Party Rock” title for his personal events has become a sore point. On Tuesday, Sky Blu performed at the three-year anniversary party of the Chandelier Room at the W Hoboken, and told the crowd it was his first performance in three months. LMFAO are planning a world tour together, starting in Sweden in May, and will perform on American Idol tonight—which leads us to believe this whole thing was a plant. (4/19a)
