Apple designer Ive knighted

iKNIGHT: Jonathan Ive, the designer responsible for the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad, has been knighted at Buckingham Palace, BBC News reports. Now based in the U.S., the 45-year-old Brit is now Apple's SVP of Industrial Design. Sir Jonathan, who now lives in San Francisco, has led the Apple design team since 1996. He was described by Steve Jobs as his "spiritual partner", according to Jobs biographer Walter Isaacson. (5/23a)
