Azoff loves CC-Big Machine deal

GIVE THE ARTISTS SOME: A day after the announcement of a revolutionary revenue-sharing deal between Clear Channel and Big Machine (see item below), industry reactions are starting to trickle in, Digital Music News notes. The NAB seemed surprised but pleased with the deal, while King of the World Irving Azoff loves the idea. "We're trying to convince labels to enter into a direct deal because we can't get legislation passed," Azoff told Bloomberg. "Clear Channel is first of these deals." (6/6a)
