Drake-Chris Brown aftermath

DISTURBIA: Drake—whose nasty note to Chris Brown apparently sparked Thursday night’s melee at the W.i.P. nightclub in New York—is going to be arrested for throwing a bottle at Brown, the New York Post reports. Reps for Drake have maintained that the Toronto MC did nothing wrong, MTV News noted. On Friday night, Cash Money CEO Birdman weighed in on the incident. "To me, Drizzy ain't did nothin' wrong, he ain't done nothin' wrong to nobody. He's just doin' great music," he told MTV News exclusively. "He's not a reckless guy out there just wildin' out; he's a humble kid makin' great music." Countered Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos: "I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this. The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim of all this. I believe the police are building a case against Drake and his thugs." The police did confirm with MTV News that the case was ongoing but wouldn’t confirm that they were ready to arrest Drake or anyone else in connection to the brawl. San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, who also happened to be at W.i.P. when the violence broke out, said yesterday that he got a piece of glass in his eye. “I was there with a bunch of friends when a fight broke out,” he said. “They started to throw bottles about. I got it all.” The injury won’t affect Parker’s plan to play for France at the London Olympics. At his gig in Jones Beach Saturday evening, Drake briefly referenced the scuffle. “When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things,” he said onstage, according to the N.Y. Daily News. “But the only thing I gave a fuck about was that I was in New York City tonight.” (6/18a)
