Live Nation Gets HARD

LIVE NATION GETS HARD: Countering Robert F. X. Sillerman’s recent acquisition of several electronic music promoters, Live Nation Entertainment announced it has added leading EDM concert promoter and festival operator HARD Events to its stable. Since its creation in 2007, founder Gary Richards and his team have attracted a variety of today’s top acts to headline their shows. Richards will continue to run the company while reporting to James Barton, President of Live Nation Electronic Music. HARD Summer’s now two-day festival will be held August 3-4 at the L.A. State Historic Park. In 2011, the one-day event drew more than 30k fans. HARD Haunted Mansion is set for L.A. in late October and historically draws 20k attendees. (6/27p)
