Chesney gets love from Steelers for selling out Heinz Field

BLUE CHAIR GETS BLACK & GOLD TRIM: The Steelers’ marketing people must’ve been working overtime on this wrinkle. After Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw’s “Brothers of the Sun” concert went clean at Heinz Field (capacity 53k), marking Chesney’s sixth sellout at the stadium since 2005, the Rooney family presented Chesney a cast-iron “Six for Six” plaque, cleverly tying together his sold-out shows with the Steelers’ six Super Bowl championships. He also received a Steelers helmet signed by Super Bowl MVP and Hall of Famer Franco Harris. "I believe this might be the best gift I've ever gotten on the road," said Chesney. "It epitomizes all the heart and energy and passion that this crowd has, that this town has." Backstage guests included local heroes Ben Roethlisberger, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly. (7/2a)
