Calamar co-writes tune for Iggy on True Blood

IGGY & BLOOD—A NATURAL FIT: This Sunday's episode of True Blood will feature a previously announced collaboration between Iggy Pop and Best Coast's Beth Consentino, titled "Let's Boot and Rally." The song premiered Thursday on KCRW, where the series’ music supe Gary Calamar is a longtime DJ. In fact, Calamar co-wrote the song with James Combs, and he explains how it came into being on the station’s Music Blog. The track, which you can stream on Soundcloud, is available on iTunes. (7/6a)
