Whole Lotta Love Between Plant and Griffin

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE & MARRIAGE: Robert Plant has secretly wed his Band of Joy singer Patty Griffin. “I eloped and ran off to Texas,” the ex-Led Zeppelin shouter told the U.K.’s Independent. The 63-year-old rocker now spends half the time in the U.K.and the other half in the Lone Star State with his 48-year-old wife in an Austin apartment he describes as a “termite-infested old crack house." Griffin is a well-respected singer/songwriter who has collaborated with Emmylou Harris, the Dixie Chicks, Jessica Simpson and Linda Ronstadt, among others. This is Plant’s second marriage. He was married for 15 years to Maureen Wilson, with whom he had three children, one of which, Karac, died at the age of five in 1977, before divorcing in 1983. (7/17a)
