Neil Diamond and Jack Black at the Greek

BLACK DIAMOND: Neil Diamond played the fourth of his five sold-out shows at the Greek last night, highlighted with a surprise appearance by Jack Black, called to the stage by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee to join him on one of the half-dozen or so renditions of "Sweet Caroline," which challenged Jay Z and Kanye West's multiple takes on "Niggaz in Paris" at the Staples last year. The other incredible moment: Diamond dedicating "I'm a Believer," the hit he wrote for the Monkees, to wife/manager Katie McNeil in both ballad and rock versions. (photo by Jill Merrill) (8/24p)
