Sheen Series Renewed

CHARLIE IS THEIR DARLING: Anger Management, the sitcom starring Charlie Sheen created by Executive Producer Bruce Helford, has received a 90-episode renewal order over the next two years from FX, it was announced today by network EVP Chuck Saftler. The show turned out to be the highest-rated new comedy series on cable this year, averaging 4.58 million total viewers and 2.5 million adults. Can anyone say, “Winning?” As part of its original deal, if Anger Management met a designated average ratings threshold over the airing of eight of the first 10 installments, it automatically triggered the additional 90-episode commitment. No word yet if publicity whiz Larry Solters will get a walk-on in the new season as the grumpy next-door neighbor, but give him credit for helping Sheen turn a media nightmare into a lucrative career comeback.
