Stones Keep on Rolling-New Album, Shows

STONES CELEBRATE 50: The Rolling Stones will include two new tracks on their upcoming greatest hits collection on UMe, GRRR!, which comes out Nov. 13 in the U.S. in 50- and 80-track versions featuring various bonus items such as photo books, a seven-inch disc, postcards and posters. The band finished the new cuts, "Gloom and Doom" and "One Last Shot," during recent sessions in Paris, the first time the group has been in a recording studio together since their 2005 album, A Bigger Bang. The Stones are also making use of a new app, uView, which allows fans to scan the album art on their phone and watch it "come to life in 3D animation." The group is planning two shows apiece at London’s O2 Arena (Nov. 26-27) and the new BarclayCenter in Brooklyn (Dec. 6-7) for a $500 top ticket through Sir Richard Branson’s new Virgin Live concert promotion divisionm which paid the band $25 million up front for the four concerts.
