THE VOICE TOPS X FACTOR: NBC’s The Voice and America’s Got Talent beat out Simon Cowell’s X Factor on Fox last night, though the two music competition shows did tie for #1 in the Adult 18-49 demo. The X Factor’s second season—with new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato joining L.A. Reid and Cowell—averaged 8.5 million viewers, debuting with 3.5 million less of an audience than last year, while The Voice attracted 10.7 million viewers at 8 p.m., before America’s Got Talent snagged 11 million at 9 p.m. Cowell has been sniping at NBC’s show since learning that the network added a third episode this week to go head-to-head with X Factor. Many are predicting the much-ballyhooed Factor won’t survive for a third season. (9/13p)
