Carly Rae Album Fueled by Social Media

TWEET ME DEFINITELY: Carly Rae Jepsen’s 604/ Schoolboy/Interscope Records debut, Kiss, is off to a nice start at iTunes, climbing to #4, and label head Scooter Braun’s social media campaign is being given credit for it. Apparently Braun has called out the Twitter and Facebook troops to galvanize her fan base, and it seems to have worked. The album contains two monster singles in “Call Me Maybe” and the Owl City collaboration, “Good Time.” The new single, “This Kiss,” co-written by Jepsen with LMFAO’s Redfoo and Matthew Koma, was just released. Jepsen will perform the song this afternoon on NBC’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show and tonight on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance finale. (9/18p)
