5 MILLION IPHONE BUYERS CAN’T BE WRONG: Alright, so Apple Maps aren’t perfect. That didn’t seem to deter more than 5 million people from buying iPhone 5 over the weekend, easily topping the record of 4 million set by the 4S last year. Sales did fall short of analyst expectations, though, with predictions of upwards of 10 million among some. Said Apple CEO Tim Cook: “Demand for the iPhone 5 has been incredible… While we have sold out of our initial supply, stores continue to receive shipments regularly, and cusomers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.” Until then, you’re stuck with your BlackBerries, folks. Just for comparison sake, the top album in the country this week, P!nk's The Truth About Love, will sell around 280k copies. (9/24p)
