Justin Timberlake Launches MySpace 2.0

VIRAL VIDEO OF THE DAY: Justin Timberlake introduced the new Myspace 2.0 at a gala launch party yesterday held at the Colony in N.Y.C. Timberlake is one of the investors in a group headed by Chris and Tim Vanderhook, who bought the company from Fox Corp. for $35 million in June 2011, after the Murdoch company acquired it for $580 million just six years before. Coincidentally, that move indirectly led to Tom Freston's exit from Viacom after Sumner Redstone was reportedly peeved he missed out on the purchase. Here’s a video showing us the once-dominant social media site’s new design, which has generally been well-received by pundits. Said Tim Vanderhook: "It's a social network for the creative community to connect with their fans." (9/25p)
