“DIAMONDS” IS A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND: Rihanna’s new single “Diamonds” makes its global premiere this morning with an 8:00 a.m. ET launch at radio, an hour before becoming available at the iTunes Store. “Diamonds” is the first single from the pop/R&B diva’s upcoming seventh studio album for IDJ, with “details to be announced in the weeks and months ahead,” according to the press release, suggesting that rumors of a release before year’s end are premature. The track was produced by Norwegian hitmakers Stargate, whose track record of Top 10 hits with Rihanna stretches back to 2006’s “Unfaithful,” and includes “Don't Stop the Music,” “Take a Bow,” “Rude Boy,” “Only Girl (In the World),” “What’s My Name” (featuring Drake), and “Talk That Talk.” Her Diamonds World Tour 2013 kicks off March 8 in Buffalo.
