SNL, Oscar Hosts Include Bruno Mars, Seth MacFarlane

HOSTS WITH THE MOST: Bruno Mars will get the rare opportunity to both host and be a musical guest on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 20. Mars will be the first to do double-duty since Mick Jagger last year. It will also mark the Grammy winner’s first performance of the new single, “Locked Out of Heaven,” which debuts tonight via YouTube live stream at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT) (www.youtube/brunomars). The track is from his forthcoming sophomore album, Unorthodox Jukebox, slated for Dec. 11, the follow-up to Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Daniel Craig will host this week’s episode, with Muse the musical guest, while Christina Applegate will host Oct. 13 with Passion Pit. Meanwhile, Family Guy and Ted creator Seth MacFarlane, who hosted the SNL 38th season premiere on Sept. 15, must have impressed the Motion Picture Academy because he’s set to host the Oscars next year.
