Stones Roll On

STONES ON A ROLL: As Mick Jagger tweeted earlier today, the Rolling Stones will debut their new single, “Doom and Gloom,” tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. on BBC Radio 2, with a download available at iTunes. The single, from the band’s GRRR! Greatest Hits album, which comes out Nov. 13 on ABKCO/Interscope/UMe, marks the first time that Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood have been in the studio together in seven years. The track was recorded in Paris and produced by longtime Stones producer Don Was. The album includes a second new recording. “One More Shot,” as well as other classic hits. The compilation will also be available to pre-order via iTunes, with an instant download of “Doom and Gloom” for every pre-order. Tweets Mick: “Though it’s a really raunchy rocker, you can dance to & not gloomy at all.” (sic) (10/10p)
