YOUR LATE MORNING NEWS ROUNDUP: Fresh off their triumphant SNL performance, Columbia’s sizzling Passion Pit have announced a headlining date at N.Y.’s Madison Square Garden scheduled for Feb. 8 with opening act Matt & Kim. It will be the largest show ever for the group, whose single, “Take a Walk,” heard on the current Taco Bell TV campaign, is now #6 at Alternative. In other news, Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host this year’s 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, replacing the acerbic Ricky Gervais, who had the duties for the past three years as the show’s first-ever MC. Both Fey and Poehler are longtime stars at NBC, which is televising the ceremony. Finally, AP is reporting that Beyonce will be the halftime show performer on this year’s Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome inNew Orleans, with the official NFL announcement slated for Wednesday.
