WEAKEND BOX OFFICE: With only two debuts of any significance in Paramount’s Paranormal 4 (#1 with $30.2 million), and Summit’s Tyler Perry-starring Alex Cross (#5 with $11.8 million), the industry spotlight remained on Ben Affleck's buzzing, well-reviewed Argo. Receipts on the timely Warner Bros. political caper film dropped just 15% in week two to $16.6 million, keeping it at #2, as the Oscar buzz continues to increase. The rest of the Top 5: #3 Hotel Transylvania (Sony; -21.7% to $13.5m in its fourth week) and #4 Taken 2 (Fox; -38.7% to $13.4m in its third week).
