The X Factor Renewed

X GETS ANOTHER SHOT: Ratings for Fox’s The X Factor may be down from last year, but it will return for a third season, according to deadline.com. The news comes after last week’s botched scheduling of the most recent episode, and NBC’s announcement it will go head to head with its own singing competition show The Voice on Wednesday and Thursday the week of the election, Nov. 5. “I couldn’t be happier about The X Factor already being renewed for another season,” executive producer Simon Cowell said. “I am so proud of the show and the team who have made it this season.” The X Factor heads into live shows on Nov. 1, just two days before The Voice. “The gloves are off! Expect fireworks,” Cowell said. The X Factor is averaging a 3.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 10.6 million total viewers to date, while The Voice, the #1 unscripted network program, is averaging 5.1 rating in the same demo, with 13.9 million viewers overall.
