Bruce, Jay and Barack

HE. COULD. GO. ALL. THE. WAY… Bruce Springsteen joined President Obama in the battleground states of Wisconsin, Ohio and Iowa Monday on the final day of campaigning. “I get to fly around with him on the last day that I will ever campaign—so that’s not a bad way to end things,” Obama said at a stop in Madison. As the N.Y. Daily News aptly put it, Springsteen’s brand of weary defiance seemed like a good fit for a President whose four years in the White House have been marked by frustration as well as triumph. At an event in Columbus, Jay-Z joined POTUS and the Boss in a high-wattage display of starpower. Obama came off as surprisingly laidback in an interview with ESPN’s Chris Berman during halftime of the Monday Night Football game between the Eagles and Saints, professing his love for his hometown Bears. In his interview, a somewhat stiffer Mitt Romney said he was a longtime fan of the Patriots. (11/6a)
