iTunes Top 10s

PRE-HOLIDAY iTUNES CHARTS: Rihanna’s new one lands at #1 (for the deluxe version) and #4 (for the standard) in this debut-packe pre-Thanksgiving snapshot. The lone incumbents on the albums side are a pair of commercial powerhouses in #8 Taylor Swift and #9 One Direction (the Yearbook Edition of Take Me Home), as the stars come out leading up to what promises to be a vibrant week. The stunner on the singles chart is Cassadee Pope wresting the top slot from the mighty PSY with her Voice performance of coach Blake Shelton's “Over You,” with fellow contestant Melanie Martinez rounding out the Top 10 with her rendition of “Seven Nation Army.” These two newcomers bracket the usual suspects, along with Christina Perri, whose Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 contribution zooms to #5. It’ll be fascinating to see where things stand 72 hours from now, when we take our next snapshot on the morning of Black Friday. And while we’re on the subject, the iTunes free Holiday Single of the Week is “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear” from Norah Jones. (11/20a)
