Train Comes to the Aid of NJ Town

TRAIN NOT IN VAIN: Grammy-winning band Train will host a special performance for Sea Bright, NJ, first responders and residents at the Sea Bright Firehouse on Dec. 5 in response to a young fan’s heartfelt video message to help the Superstorm Sandy-ravaged beach town. The performance will be filmed by VH1 for a series of vignettes, Christmas in Sea Bright, airing throughout Christmas Day from 8 a.m.-10 p.m., to help raise awareness for local non-profit Sea Bright Rising. Fifteen-year-old Train fan Charlotte Nagy first posted a video about how the storm affected the town, which inspired the band to commit to a concert to help benefit the non-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding the community. Said Train frontman Pat Monahan: “The decision to come to aid Sea Bright was obvious. With VH1’s help, we can get the word out about Sea Bright Rising and help the town as they go through their recovery.” (11/30p)
