Snoop Lion

THE LION KING: You'll read more about this in our upcoming profile of RCA co-rulers Peter Edge and Tom Corson, but it was formally announced today that Snoop Lion (AKA hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg in his newly rasta-fied persona) will release his reggae-dancehall collection Reincarnated through the label this spring, in conjunction with VICE Music and Mad Descent. The set is exec-produced by Diplo and his Major Lazer production team; its no doubt smoky genesis (along with Snoop's "spiritual growth" and a sustainable gardening initiative with the tantalizing title Mind Gardens) is chronicled in a documentary film that shares the album's title and was a Toronto Film Festival selection.
