Dave Brubeck, RIP

R.I.P. DAVE BRUBECK: You'll be hearing a lot of "Take Five" today as the world marks the passing of jazz great Dave Brubeck at age 91. The pianist-bandleader's 1959 LP Time Out (Columbia) was the first jazz album to sell a million copies, and the rhythmically inventive "Take Five" (written by saxophonist Paul Desmond) became one of the most beloved instrumental pieces of the modern era. But we're remembering this inspired musician by bobbing our heads to the gorgeously complex "Blue Rondo a la Turk." Will the man get a special tribute at the Grammys? (12/5p)
