12-12-12 highlights 3: iTunes, Clapton

LET IT RAIN: As our retail geek predicted, Columbia’s 12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief zoomed to the top of the iTunes albums chart during the telecast and remains lodged there this morning. The $12.99 LP is expected to be ready next Tuesday, according to iTunes. Hopefully, the concert’s purely musical highlight—Eric Clapton’s blistering rave-ups on “Got to Get Better in a Little While” and “Crossroads” with drummer Steve Jordan and bass player Willie Weeks—will make the album. Sensational. (12/13a)
