Boston station flips to CC online EDM station

ONLINE EDM STATION GOES TERRESTRIAL: Clear Channel's iHeartRadio debuted its Evolution dance station online six weeks ago. Now the station has made the rare journey from digital to analog, debuting on Boston's WHBA. Occupying the former frequency of rock giant WFNX, which CC bought earlier this year and previously operated as an adult hits station, WHBA kicked off with "Dont You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia. Will EDM emerge as a dominant format? Is this a sign of the impending Mayan apocalypse? One thing's for sure: That SHM song is in the air; see the Pentatonix version elsewhere in the Mill. (12/20p)
